PEOPLE+PLANET+PROFIT
As a Generation X -er growing up with People Planet Profit and having worked as a charity fundraiser for sick people, who often become poorer because of their illness & have nots I get a bit frustrated with all the PLANET themes fueling investors interest in Renewable Energy, Climate Change, the Circular Economy, Waste Management & Plastic Soup, Clean Tech, Electric Cars etc.
Why would People favor Planet?

Then again the off grid renewable energy projects for rural communities in developing countries offered by my private equity investee Crowdfunding for Impactplatform Lendahand are booming. A great PEOPLE-PLANET win-win impact investment opportunity. And Lendahand just teamed up with UK platform Ethex for these activities as their individual plans met great enthusiasm from Richard Branson*.

Feed the World & Save the Planet
I noticed that in last months Global Cleantech 100 review of 2017** some very interesting investors had put up private equity venture capital for meat alternatives, as in animal cell based or plant based meat alternatives. All exiting new technologies which will be able to feed the growing global population & some meatless alternatives claim up to 87% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional meat production.
When I say very interesting investors I am referring to both impact investors Bill Gates & Kosha Ventures (Impossible) & old capitalisms Tyson Foods & hedge fund Cleveland Capital run by a former McDonalds CEO (Beyond Meat).
World Cancer Days' message
Today my newspaper has a full page on healthy diets & #agtech trends referring to these cool investors. It is an event editorial*** from the Reuters Thomson Foundation. It mentions more interesting investors and quotes the CEO of UK based company Moving Mountains which has already introduced it's bleeding burgers to British supermarkets last december. Odd marketing right?, the official name is B12 Burger: Delve into a guilt-free trip of indulgence with one bite into the future – 100% plant 0% cow.
The privately owned company is an initiative of a seasoned environmentally friendly entrepreneur Simeon van der Molen. His company Ecozone offers an innovative, eco-friendly household & lighting and baby & kids range. Allergy-friendly, cruelty-free, vegan, palm oil-free. Ecozone has been around for almost 20 years so these guys know how to do business.
So PLANET may be hot, PEOPLE & PROFIT are surfing the wave :)
I wish all Monday newspaper were filled with such uplifting messages.
